What a SDS can(not) tell you about rubber and plastic
The content of a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in Europe is dictated by the REACH and the Classification Labelling and Packaging (CLP) directives. If you are a manufacturer of rubber and plastic materials you’ll receive SDS’s of raw materials and maybe you are also obliged to create SDS’s of your own finished products.
Are you fully aware of the background of these directives? What is the connection between CLP and regulations in countries outside Europe? Do you know what a SDS can tell you about raw materials? What information do you need to create your own SDS’s?
In my presentation I will try to answer above questions and give some more background information. Probably you will look at your SDS’s differently!
